Alcometer.org is a private, non-commercial educational website. The publisher is a natural person. The site does not qualify as a registered periodical publication ("testata giornalistica registrata") under art. 5 of Law 62/2001, because it has no fixed editorial periodicity and does not distribute news in the journalistic sense. Consequently, the obligation to register with the competent Tribunale does not apply (see Cass. civ. n. 23230/2012).

In accordance with art. 7 of D.Lgs. 70/2003, the identifying information of the service provider is made available above in an easily accessible form. The service provider is a natural person operating without a VAT number (partita IVA), as the activity is non-commercial and non-professional.

The blood-alcohol estimates and information provided on this site are for educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, do not replace an official alcohol test ("etilometro"), and must not be used to determine fitness to drive under the Italian Codice della Strada (D.Lgs. 285/1992, art. 186). The publisher disclaims any liability arising from decisions taken on the basis of the calculator output.

As this is a non-commercial service and no contracts of sale or supply are concluded through the site, the obligation under Regulation (EU) 524/2013 to provide a link to the European ODR platform does not apply. Nevertheless the platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr for users who wish to refer to it.
