Alcometer.org is a privately operated, non-commercial educational project dedicated to alcohol harm-reduction. The operator is a natural person; there is no commercial activity, no paid advertising, no tracking, and no revenue generated from this service. Because the service nevertheless contains journalistic-editorial content addressed to the general public, the duty of disclosure under § 18 (2) MStV applies.

All information on this site is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Blood-alcohol estimates are produced from widely published pharmacokinetic formulae (Widmark, NHTSA-style elimination rates) and do not constitute medical advice, legal advice, or a substitute for a calibrated evidential breath test. Liability for external links rests with the operators of those sites; the operator has no ongoing duty to monitor third-party content (§§ 7-10 TMG).

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The operator is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, as this is a non-commercial service without contractual relationships that would fall within the scope of the Verbraucherstreitbeilegungsgesetz (VSBG).

The content published on Alcometer.org is protected under German and European copyright law. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution, or any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright law requires the written consent of the operator. Reasonable citation of the calculator results for personal educational use remains permitted.
